PacBlue Constructions manages a fleet of their own Trucks and Machinery and also manage construction Projects as Lead Contracting business or as a subsidiary. Trucks and machinery can be used on their own projects or for any other project or hire purpose. Keeping up to date with administration, documentation, pre-starts and project related detail was largely done on paper.

As PacBlue grew their fleet and business the difficulty with managing checks, dockets and receipts became more problematic with a larger group of employees. Making sure that drivers and operators were completing paperwork, providing paperwork to administrators, clients and inspectors became more of a task for all involved. Paper copies would get lost, may not be filled in completely and needed to be re-entered into invoicing systems and for sending to clients. Project related detail was held in various locations and formats and not easily produced when required by admins staff, clients or inspectors.

PacBlue knew they needed to make their processes more efficient and easier for all. Staff had used other commercial software with other businesses and PacBlue started to search for a suitable solution. From previous use of software they found that while various features would be helpful a lot of software was very complex, had too many features, would be confusing for Drivers and Operators, had foreign country references and would not have a great deal of support for their uptake and ongoing use.

PacBlue approached Isidore with their ideas for software and what was possible. All software options were discussed to determine the best outcome that would match the exact needs of PacBlue and which could grow with them. After a quick discussion of these brief requirements and what might be best, Isidore recommended PacBlue have a solution custom built for them by Isidore.

There was no need for detailed technical specifications or lock-in contracts with all detail up-front.

Isidore started with the ideas that PacBlue had and were able to research features of existing software that had good features. Isidore then handled everything in house from hosting, website and address/URL, design, custom software build, training and ongoing support.

The first usable software was provided in weeks to have PacBlue involved as early as possible. Regular meetings allowed changes to be quickly made so PacBlue could see their ideas take shape and adjust as necessary. After go-live, further adjustments are made as required and without compromise or third-party involvement.

The software did not start out perfect and PacBlue did not know how their ideas would translate technically, but the regular meeting, quick changes and support resulted in the best outcome.
